Just 10 Pounds author Brad Lamm promotes weight loss

Posted: Updated:

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - The Team Core Oz expert is kicking off his bus tour in Corpus Christi. Brad Lamm joins Katy Kiser on Monday's 3 News First Edition to discuss his book "Just 10 Lbs."

Lamm believes that losing ten pounds can have an enormous impact even if a person needs to lose more. His book is meant to help people eat differently, and teach us how to find the underlying emotional reasons of how, why, and when we eat.

He came Corpus Christi first to kickoff his book tour because of the unfortunate designation of being the "Fattest City in America" made by Men's Health Magazine during April of last year. Five Lone Star cities are considered among the nation's fattest, but Corpus Christi made the top of the list.

Men's Health ranked the selected cities by calculating the percentage of people who are overweight, the percentage with type 2 diabetes, the percentage who haven't left the couch in a month, the money spent on junk food, plus the number of people who ate fast food nine or more times in a month.

His book "Just 10 Lbs" is available on Amazon and at local bookstores.

Lamm is a regular contributor to the Dr. Oz Show and will appear on The View this week.
