CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

In Alice, police take a drug dealer off the street. A woman, they say, was dealing cocaine from an apartment in government housing. The bust was made yesterday after four weeks of investigation, says Alice chief of police Daniel Bueno. The woman behind the drugs, police say is 36 year old Diana Torres. She was allegedly dealing those drugs out of a home in the "Heritage Place" community. A government complex on the Southwest side of Alice.

Approximately 55 grams of cocaine were confiscated in arrest, with about 38 hundred dollars in cash. Police say along with the coke, they found bundles of papers, which they believe were to be used to package more drugs for resale. And a money box, similar to a cash register. Torres was booked and charged with possession of cocaine, and has already been released from the Jim Wells County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
