Mysterious Death of 16 Year Old Girl

Posted: Updated:

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The mysterious death of a 16 year old girl has left her parents wanting to know why. The student from Ray High School had been an active teenager with volleyball, softball and kickball. She had no signs of any illness. But her parents say in a 24 hour period, she went from healthy to fatally ill.

The parents are awaiting some kind of blood test results from the hospital that may shed some light onto what may have killed their daughter. The parents say they will not know Alexis' autopsy results for a month or two. They really have no idea what to make of her sudden illness.

They have planned a funeral for her this Sunday. It will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at Memory Gardens on Old Brownsville Road. The public is invited. Afterwards, the parents say an "open-mic night" will be held there so Alexis' friends can share their memories of her. And also because Alexis loved karaoke.
