Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, April 27

Kiii-TV and the Drug Enforcement Administration are teaming up again for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

It's an event for those who have accumulated unwanted or unused prescription drugs and need to dispose of those medications.

In the four previous Take-Back Day events, the DEA in conjunction with our state, local and tribal law enforcement partners have collected more than two million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medication, removing them from circulation.

Drop-off locations are:

Kiii-TV Studios, 5002 S. Padre Island Drive
5313 Saratoga Boulevard
11100 Leopard
1145 Waldron Road

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
