John-Thomas Kobos was raised and spent most of life in Houston. After attending Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, he returned home to graduate from Houston Baptist University, and began his broadcast journalism career.
John-Thomas worked as a news reporter in Alexandria, Louisiana (KALB), where he was recognized by the Associated Press for spot news reporting. During his time in Central Louisiana, he covered the military beat and hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
John-Thomas' next stop was Fresno, California (KFSN), where he covered all the major stories in the San Joaquin Valley, from forest fires and flooding to medical marijuana and the gay marriage battle.
In his free time, John-Thomas is an avid golfer, loves to cook and plans to dive back into his love for sailing. He is excited about returning home to Texas and being a part of the Kiii-TV family.
