Veterans Day is not until Saturday, but members of the Miller High School NJROTC program and students came together for a Veterans Day ceremony Friday.

Corpus Christi City Council members, veterans, and parents were in attendance.

Guest speaker Congressman Blake Farenthold shared how the sacrifices of men and women in our military keep the country safe.

"Our veterans, it's a great thing, and you know, you go to these veterans events a lot of times, and it's a lot of grey-haired veterans. But now you're seeing younger people getting involved, showing respect and honor for those who served and looked to choose a career in the military themselves," Farenthold said.
