PAAC spays, neuters more than 70 stray cats for free
Two veterinarians from People Assisting Animal Control donated their time Friday to spay and neuter over 70 cats.
Helping pets and the community is the mission of PAAC, and part of that goal is preventing stray overpopulation.
"The more cats that we can get fixed, and dogs of course, then the better for the pet over-population," PAAC President Cheryl Martinez said.
Corpus Christi residents were able to take in stray cats from their neighborhoods to get the free surgery. The cats were also chipped and received rabies prevention medication.
"Our revenue from our clinics goes right back into the community every single month. Right now, it's going to be kitten season coming up, so we're trying to get as many fixed as we can," Martinez said.
The next clinic will be held in March for more information click here.
