USS Lexington hosts Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony
The USS Lexington Museum is honoring the 76th anniversary of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor Thursday by hosting a Remembrance Ceremony.
The ceremony will honor those who died in the attack. Local survivors will also be honored.
The Corpus Christi Veterans band, Mary Carroll High School NJROTC, and the Corpus Christi Fire Department Pipes and drums will be featured during the ceremony.
A wreath will be released from the hanger deck into the waters below, as part of Navy tradition in order to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The ceremony, sponsored by the USS Lexington Volunteer Organization, starts in Hangar Bay II at 2:00 p.m.
