More details of the March 20 officer-involved shooting on Congressional and Pebble Beach are coming to light after the suspect's arrest affidavit was released Friday.
The suspect in the case, 22-year old Travis Magill, was booked into the Nueces County Jail Thursday.
According to the police affidavit, Magill got into a struggle with Officer Michael Goodman of the Corpus Christi Police Department. Goodman was responding to a suspicious person call in the Congressional and Pebble Beach area. He was shot in the thigh and shoulder during that struggle.
Officer Amador Gonzalez, who responded to Officer Goodman's Distress call, was also shot, but not before shooting Magill.
Magill was arrested down the street from the scene of the shooting, near the Corpus Christi Country Club, after he crashed Officer Goodman's stolen cruiser. He has been charged with two counts of attempted capital murder and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. His bond has been set at $750,000.
