A San Patricio County Grand Jury has indicted 51-year old Donna Thomas on two counts of felony forgery and four counts of misapplication of fiduciary property.

The crimes are alleged to have taken place between July and December of 2012. Thomas was in charge of a scholarship fund that was set up in Sinton in honor of Corporal Mark Goyet, a local U.S. Marine who was killed in Afghanistan in the summer of 2011.

An investigation had been launched into the management of the fund after questions arose regarding just who received the scholarships and where the money was. At the time, authorities said thousands of dollars could be missing.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Thomas.
