March 12 will mark the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Ford Mustang, and to celebrate the occasion, Mustang enthusiasts from all over the country will be driving from California to North Carolina.

Rick McGraw owns a 1965 Mustang. He found it under a tarp in Conway, Ark., and rebuilt it, replacing the 4-T engine with a 5-T. His car will be on full display at the AutoNation Ford in the 6200 block of SPID, and after that, the well-oiled machine will travel to Los Angeles, and then across the country to different AutoNation dealerships.

It's the Mustangs Across America drive, and McGraw will be participating.

"AutoNation Ford wanted to become my sponsor because of Mustangs Across America," McGraw said. "We are going to be leaving Corona, California, and driving all the way to North Carolina, to the speedway, and all the way back to Corpus, to AutoNation."

About 550 Mustangs will be taking part in the drive of a lifetime.
