Two Carroll High School students had to be rushed to the hospital Thursday morning, allegedly because of a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana.
The incident took place at around 9 a.m. The students were said to be unresponsive, and were taken to Driscoll Children's Hospital. One of them allegedly confessed to Corpus Christi Independent School District police that they had done synthetic marijuana off campus before school.
"Drugs, period, are an issue for us," CCISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke said. "We're going to take action."
District police are still investigating the incident. There has been no word yet as to what disciplinary actions the students could be facing.
