New details have come to light in the case of three-year old Jaysean Boring, who was hit and killed by a car in Aransas Pass on May 12.
Boring ran into traffic and was hit by a truck, killing him instantly.
Late Thursday afternoon, San Patricio County District Attorney Michael Welborn confirmed that he plans to present the case to a grand jury as soon as mid-June. He would not say if the case will involve the grandmother or the mother of the child, or both.
Meanwhile, Aransas Pass Police Chief Eric Blanchard said that he has concluded his investigation, and he has concerns about the case. He has passed those concerns on to the district attorney.
According to the Coastal Bend Herald newspaper, the grandmother, Katherine Gaynor, told investigators that the child ran away from her and dashed into the street. However, other witnesses at the scene told investigators that the grandmother was not present and had to be called at work.
