Corpus Christi Police want to put locals at ease.
On our 3 News Facebook page many residents are expressing concerns about a group of women going door to door and asking residents about their children. Police say these women are college students from the Republic of Estonia. They are in Corpus Christi conducting door-to-door sales of children's books with a company called Southwestern Advantage Incorporated.
The group does have a legal vendor license. Senior Officer Kirk Stowers says the women pose no danger to the public.
"We certainly don't want to alarm the public," said Stowers. "There are no claims here in Corpus Christi at this time of people going door-to-door and doing some fraudulent activity."
Stowers says the women are in town for the next three days.
