Corpus Christi police arrested Friday the man suspected of shooting and killing 43-year-old Juan Moreno Thursday evening in the 3500 block of Bluebonnet Drive.

It was just before 6 p.m. Thursday when police were called to the 3500 block of Bluebonnet Drive after a witness reported hearing multiple shots fired. That's when Moreno was found with several gunshot wounds.

Police said a woman's ex-husband was driving in the area when he saw her with her new boyfriend. An argument reportedly broke out and authorities said the suspect pulled out a gun and fired multiple times, striking the new boyfriend.

A resident living nearby saw Moreno after he was shot. She told 3News she did not know the victim.

"He just ran through our yard for help," the witness said. "The guy was chasing him and he just ran through our yard for help."

Moreno was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries. So far, no arrests have been made.
