It's the first day of class for students attending year-round school at London Independent School District.

The growing London I.S.D. is located in rural Nueces County, at FM 43 and CR 33, which has recently seen new additions, including a 10th grade. They have also added a varsity volleyball and basketball program, and they're even getting a football team.

Since last year, the student body has grown from 490 students to more than 600, and the staff has grown by 10.

"This year I'm excited to have more classes and different teachers," 10th grader Kaitlyn Hoffman said. "This year they are going to have a football team for high school, and homecoming dances, so I'm excited to actually see it turn into a high school."

London I.S.D. will continue to add a high school grade each year for the next two years. They will graduate their first bunch of seniors in the spring of 2015.
