Funeral services for Father Michael Jordan, the Catholic priest who died Monday night in an Atascosa County car crash, are set to take place in coming days.
Father Jordan had been a priest for almost 30 years, and during that time, did mission work in the Philippines. Most recently, he cared for sick priests and lay people in the Robstown community.
Father Jordan was killed Monday night near Pleasanton, Texas, after his small car was hit by an 18-wheeler.
A mass for Father Jordan will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Corpus Christi, on Lantana. A rosary will follow at 7 p.m.
His funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, with burial to follow.
