Firefighters were called out Tuesday afternoon to the the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina, in the 700 block of Shoreline Boulevard.

The entire hotel was evacuated and Corpus Christi police were dispatched to assist firefighters with traffic control. As of around 4 p.m., the fire was out and guests were allowed to return to their hotel rooms.

Guests staying on the third and fourth floors of the hotel, which received the most smoke from the blaze, will be given new rooms according to hotel officials.

There has been no work as to the cause of the fire.
