This weekend, many area high schools will be holding graduation ceremonies; but on Tuesday for one Calallen senior, that rite of passage came early.
Joshua Niño, who has spent the last three years battling a rare form of cancer and is homebound, was surprised at his home with an impromptu ceremony from his school. Kiii News Reporter Anayeli Ruiz was there and came back with his story.
As for Joshua's health, his family says that chemotherapy and radiation have proven ineffective in fighting the form of cancer he suffers from. They are trying an alternative herbal treatment, but their health insurance will not cover it.
