Early Friday morning AEP crews were at work for more than 15,000 residents who lost electricity due to the weather.
"Snow is certainly an element that we don't anticipate, and we don't expect very often here in Corpus Christi, so it presents a number of challenges to the system. But our crews have been patrolling all night. They've been repairing as safely and as quickly as they can," Omar Lopez said.
According to Lopez heavy wet snow snapped off tree branches which brought down power lines and many trees were blown down by high winds.
Currently, very few customers are still without power, and you can find the list here.
