Kingsville is looking to honor and recognize women for their military service.

Women have served the country stretching back to the days of the Revolutionary War when Deborah Sampson had fought in General Washington's army disguised as a man.

During the 2018 airshow in Kingsville, the City is looking to find female veterans from around the Coastal Bend to honor during the Meet the Blues event on March 23.

The public will be able to meet the Blue Angel pilots and see the Marine's Precision Drill Team at the J.K. Northway Expo Center.

The City is going to hand out commemorative coins, which the Celanese Chemical Plant paid to have made, to show that women are an essential part of serving our country and are role models for young girls.
