The City of Corpus Christi is continuing to warn residents of pouring fats, oils, and grease down their drains after Thanksgiving dinner, and they're offering some help.

Individuals can pick up a free grease container until 5 p.m. Wednesday while supplies last at the City's Utilities Department office on 2726 Holly Road.

The City said pouring any food waste down the drain can cause sewage backup that can prove costly to a homeowner. When individuals are done cooking, all they have to do is pour all the grease into the container and then throw it away.
