City Council last week made the next step in using proceeds from the sale of City parks to upgrade remaining parks.
In November of 2014, voters approved the sale of 17 City parks that qualified as underused. 14 of those parks have been listed and so far, six of them have been sold. As part of the bond, any proceeds had to go back into the park system.
City Council voted to appropriate over $750,000 from park sales to improve parks in the general area where the individual park was sold.
