Del Mar College reportedly owes a former professor more than half a million dollars over a contract dispute filed back in 2012.
Bruce Olson, a former history professor filed two discriminations lawsuits against the college for failure to comply in agreement relating to their early retirement program. A jury verdict earlier stated that although both parties failed to comply in the contract, the college owes him the money because it was the first to fail to comply.
Officials say the judge has not signed off on the final judgment but if the court should rule in Olson's favor, the college will appeal.
A spokesperson for Del Mar stated that although college officials are disappointed in the verdict, they say this case is far from over.
