A GoFundMe account has been set up to cover funeral expenses for two people who were killed in a crash Sunday night at the intersection of Kostoryz Road and SPID.
It was around 11:20 p.m. Sunday when 59-year-old Tamara Kindred and her granddaughter, 16-year-old Aujuni Anderson, were driving down SPID and were T-boned by the driver of a red car at the intersection of SPID.
The driver of the red vehicle was identified as 29-year-old Josua DelBosque, and authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
Both Kindred and DelBosque died at the scene of the crash. Anderson died while she was being transported to the hospital.
At around noon Monday, Kindred's daughter shared a GoFundMe account hoping to raise money to cover funeral expenses for Kindred and Anderson. In the post, she wrote:
"Walking into my sister's house to have the cops tell me to sit down, and seeing my sister crying her eyes out is a moment in my life I will never forget. My sister lost her daughter and mother. I lost my niece and my mother. Two. Gone in an instant.. to a wreckless driver, speeding, who ran the red light. Two caskets. Two deaths we are mourning. Aujuni, 16 years old, had a bright future. She was so beautiful. She wrote songs, played the piano and guitar, was into photography, was extremely talented and kindhearted. Tamra Kindred, our sweet innocent mother, who couldn't hurt a fly even if she tried will never get to see her grandbabies grow up. She went back to school and recently graduated with a bachelors in accounting, she started going to church, and was about to have a bariatric surgery. She was motivated to take back her life.. and it has now been taken from her. We desperately need help funding their funeral, memorial, and legal fees. We want to give them the proper burial they deserve. We also want to spread awareness of safe driving. So please share our story. And please help us in any way you can. Any financial assistance within the next week would be greatly appreciated as expenses are adding up quickly. My sister, Elizabeth Tamay Anderson, and myself, Jennifer Renee Kindred are located in Corpus Christi, TX and will be handling all of the funeral arrangements and expenses."
