Tense moments as fire crews battled a grass fire Wednesday afternoon that threatened several structures between Agua Dulce and Banquette.
Fire officials said a shed was destroyed and curtains inside a home were scorched before crews could snuff out the flames.
The dry conditions and the wind made the fire especially difficult to fight.
"Fire was moving very fast and very hard to extinguish. Conditions were very dry. Normally we can work fires like this with hand tools. Today it had to all be done with water because hand tools were just not useful," said Chief Michael Clac, Annaville Fire Department.
Crews from Annaville, Robstown and Bluntzer help put out the fire, and it took crews about 45-minutes to get it under control.
