The Del Mar College Board of Regents signed a letter written to Regent Guy Watts at Tuesday's meeting stating that he violated the Texas Open Meetings Act, according to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.

In the report, it states that Watts has been attempting to conduct college business through group emails.

Watts was warned for allegedly engaging in a public discussion about a pending lawsuit against Del Mar College, and then trying to start an online discussion about the lawsuit.

Since March of 2016, Watts has been censured by the Board of Regents four times. Censure is the highest form of punishment the board can hand down to a fellow regent.
