Local high school seniors had the opportunity Friday to go behind the scenes of Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital and tour the facility to look at future healthcare careers.

The field trip was put on by non-profit organization HELP, and it exposed students to local jobs in the healthcare field.

Students had the chance to see several departments including surgical, radiology, emergency medicine, and laboratory technology.

"I know a lot of my friends are looking at it and a lot of them are undecided yet. But I think this field trip especially has helped us make a little bigger experience for all of us," Faith Villarreal said.

The students were selected for the field trip based on their interest in pursuing a career in the medical field.
