Friday's premier of the new MAC Selena makeup line was closed off to the media, except during one hour of the day when 3News was invited inside the American Bank Center for a look around.
Kiii News Anchor Rudy Trevino got the invite, and it was more than just the rollout for a new makeup line.
The demonstrations were nonstop, and the sales were brisk. The Henry Garrett Convention Room became purple, and it was packed -- standing room only. There was some dancing, but plenty of standing as guests waited for the opportunity to buy the first-ever makeup line named after the Tejano superstar.
To fans, the event was a huge deal, but in reality most said it was about a culture experience, not just an attraction to the makeup but also to the music.
