Islander's "Race to Zero" steps to strike out sexual assault

Texas A&M University Corpus Christi is working to end sexual assault during the month of April. The Office of the Associate Dean of Students is hosting several educational and engaging activities for students, staff, and the community.

corpus christi (kiiinews) — This featured event is a Walk/Run taking place Friday, April 20, 2018 at 6:45 p.m. on the University's hike and bike trail. Organizers say the "race aims to raise awareness concerning issues of sexual violence and provide resource for individuals who are, or know someone who is, a victim of sexual assault." A resource fair will take place after the evening run with campus and community partners and a candlelight vigil honoring victims of sexual violence. Registration is required though free for Islander students. Proceeds from this event benefit sexual violence prevention and awareness initiatives.
