Kids and teens get creative at the Annual Festival of Books, Art, and Music

From body painting, origami fun and dressing up as their favorite book characters, kids and teens got to enjoy their Saturday at La Retama Library.

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) — As the week of the young child continued this Saturday, kids and teens were able to enjoy celebration of books art and music today.

The free event all took place at La Retama Library and was focused on literacy.

It's put on by United Way of The Coastal Bend and Success by 6 Early Childhood Coalition.

The day was filled with fun activities like dressing up as cool book characters, learning how to do origami works, and body painting.
