One of the most prolific squadrons in the entire U.S. Navy has a new commanding leader. Arthur Hodge has been the chief pilot for the last 15 months until transferring command to Lt. Col. Michael Murphy.

VT 35 focuses on advanced instrument flight, including learning to fly over water. Every year they train about 100 student pilots logging more than 14-thousand flight hours and 52-thousand landings.

Lt. Col. Murphy will be the first marine corps officer to take command of the squadron and says he owes all of his success to his family.
