CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) — The Nueces County District Attorney's Office has denied a motion to remove the death penalty from the sentence of Joseph Tejeda.

Tejeda is the man accused of killing 21-year-old Breanna Wood two years ago. When he appeared in court, his defense team filed 42 different motions.

Wood went missing two years ago before police found her body in an abandoned trailer off Highway 666 near Robstown. Tejeda is one of three suspects accused in her murder.
