A bus caught fire Monday evening and quickly became fully engulfed in flames on Highway 37 near Mathis.
The vehicle is said to be privately contracted by immigration authorities, and those on board were detainees
All 44 passengers are reportedly safe and accounted for after the fire.
DPS troopers are handling the investigation.
