The Tuluso-Midway High School Warriors gathered Wednesday morning to cheer on their volleyball team, the Lady Cherokees as they head to the state finals tournament in Garland, Texas.

Students, faculty, and staff were joined by local leaders showing their support for the players.

"They all believe we can win. Everybody keeps telling me, 'I hope you get the state title,' or whatever. It's comforting to know they all believe in us," team captain Bethany Clapp said.

The Lady Cherokees trip to the state finals will be their second. Last year they made history by making it there for their first time.

Their first game will be Friday against the Prosper Eagles.
