ROCKPORT, TEXAS (KIII NEWS) — The Rockport Rotary Club prepared Thursday for the 17th annual Taste of Rockport-Fulton that will happen Saturday at the Rockbottom Park and Pub on 507 South Austin Street in Rockport.
People can expect tasty entrees from various local restaurants and live entertainment.
Downtown merchants will remain open throughout the festivities.
Organizers said this year the event would be free to the public but any donations made will go towards scholarships for graduates of Rockport-Fulton High School.
"Going through the applications they write an essay on why they need the money and where they want to go. It will bring a tear to your eye some of the stories you hear but hopefully we will put a little joy in their life with some scholarship money," Steve Clarkson said
