March 21 is designated as World Down Syndrome Day, and the Rise School of Corpus Christi took part in a celebration to mark the occasion.
The school is dedicated to the early education of children with and without disabilities. It has an inclusive classroom environment, and school officials said that kind of setting could be very beneficial.
The Rise School is one of only eight inclusion preschool programs in the nation.
