Friendship, camaraderie and tradition are what keeps folks coming back to take part in the South Texas Trail Ride. It's been going on now for 59 years.
The Trail Riders began their week-long journey to San Antonio Friday morning starting from Edroy. Nearly 200 people are taking part.
The group are used to dealing with all kinds of weather conditions. They have had sleet, rain, cold, and blistering heat over the years; but it's all part of the tradition.
The Trail Riders will be making multiple stops along the way. The group will arrive in San Antonio by next Friday just in time for the beginning of the Stock Show and Rodeo.
Kiii-TV wishes them all safe travels.
