Ag Awareness Day has become a tradition in Nueces County for over a decade now. It is actually three days set aside each year for young students throughout the county to get a closer look at life on the farm.

On Tuesday, students from the West Oso, Calallen and Banquete independent school districts were at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown taking part in special exhibits demonstrating everything from food safety and cotton growing to how sheep are sheared, and more importantly, why.
