A local elementary student had a day to remember at school this week.

John Mota who has a love for the construction business made friends with workers from Bay Ltd.- A Berry Company.

Employees had been working close to Mota's home earlier this month.

This Friday, for Mota's 10th birthday those workers showed up at West Oso Elementary with a surprise!

Construciton workers, and crane operators from the company came out to wish the student a very special day.

John who is currently in third grade has a speech impediment and learning disability.

The boy's mother LeeAnn Mota said, "He's always liked construction my dad used to be a diesel mechanic so he always around the big trucks and machinery, everyday it was just growing more and more interest."

The company brought Mota plenty of gifts from a signed card, and full construction gear including a hard hat, vest and safety glasses.
