Spring Break reminders, warnings from Coastal Bend organizations

Spring Break in the Coastal Bend is next week, and many organizations took to social media to issue reminders and warnings.

Several organizations took to social media Friday to issue reminders and warnings to those beginning their Spring Break, which runs March 12-16 in the Coastal Bend.

It's a time when Coastal Bend residents and visitors alike head to area beaches, plan trips and celebrate the time off.

It's also a time when police ramp up efforts to curb drunk driving, keep people out of unsafe situations, and manage an influx of heavy Padre Island traffic.
