It is Corpus Christi’s newest music celebration.

The Mardi Gras Blues, Brews and Crawfish Festival.

Along with the food and drinks this Sunday, the event offered six hours of live country, zydeco, and R&B music.

The festival aims at sharing the history behind 'blues' music, while also giving musicians the opportunity to play on stage.

It's taking place downtown at The Solomon Ortiz Outdoor Pavilion.

It also includes local vendors and Mardi Gras beads.

The event ends Sunday at 8 p.m.

Entrance fee is 10 dollars.
