A Corpus Christi Catholic school suffered significant damage Friday morning after a sport utility vehicle rolled and crashed into it.

It was around 3 a.m. when the accident happened. Police said an SUV was traveling south on Kostoryz Road when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle, crashing into St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and School on Kostoryz and SPID.

Two women inside the vehicle were trapped for a short time. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Police suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. They said they will continue to investigate.

As for the school, parts of the cafeteria and coach's office were damaged in the crash, however school did continue as scheduled.
