Officials at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi have issued a water boil notice after a water main break. That notice was issued Saturday just after 10:30 p.m.

According to a release issued on the base's Facebook page, water is safe for showers and washing hands, but must be boiled for cooking or brushing teeth as a precaution. Officials say crews with Public Works have been called in to fix the break. It is unknown how long repairs will take.

The water boil notice remains in affect for the entire base.
