Students at West Oso ISD and Oak Park Elementary went on a special shopping spree Tuesday morning thanks to the Corpus Christi Shop with a Cop program.

Area law enforcement officers met with students at the Walmart on Greenwood to purchase items like clothes, shoes and of course, toys.

Organizers said they have been taking area students on the shopping spree for more than 20 years. 60 kids benefitted from Tuesday's trip.

"We do between 125 and 150 students per trip," said Tara Mylett, executive director of Shop with a Cop. "We're still needing donations to meet that goal."

There are four more shopping trips left and more volunteers are needed.

Shop with a Cop is still in need of more law enforcement volunteers. If interested, call 361-442-4787.
