The Women's Shelter of South Texas received a check for $100,000 Tuesday thanks to the estate of David and Rosie Chappell.

The money will help the agency continue to provide free services to adult and child survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The Women's Shelter provides services for 12 area counties including Aransas, Bee, Duval, Nueces, and Refugio, just to name a few.
