One man was arrested following a three-car accident on Gollihar Wednesday morning.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. at the corner of Gollihar and Autotown. Police said the driver of a teal-colored Saturn ran a red light and collided with a white Chevy truck. The impact sent that truck into a nearby red Jeep.
The driver of the teal Saturn was arrested for having no driver's licence, no insurance and failure to yield the right of way; and he could be facing even more charges. It turns out the car he was driving did not belong to him.
"Well, we have a lot of questions about it," said Sgt. Ross Richards of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "It doesn't come back to the person that was driving it or the passenger, and when we got here they were trying to leave the scene of the accident, but the citizens that were here made him stay here and we were able to get him sacked up."
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
