Two men are still recovering in the hospital following a rollover accident on the city's southside.

The accident happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday at Everhart and Oso Parkway. Investigators said the driver was speeding when he lost control and flipped before crashing into a median. One person was ejected.

"It appears right now that speed was a factor," said Lt. Mark Tuley of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "One person was unconscious, and one person was talking to us on the scene."

During the investigation, police discovered a gun, marijuana and cash inside the truck. Crash investigators also believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
