Anticipation is building for the Wings Over South Texas Air Show this weekend. It's one of the biggest events to happen in South Texas.
Folks at Naval Air Station-Kingsville are getting excited. From the air show pep rally at Texas A&M University-Kingsville to the Meet the Blues event, there is a lot of festivities that surround the air show.
Then, of course, there's the main event in which the Blue Angels will take to the skies to perform their aerobatic demonstrations at NAS-Kingsville.
"This is essential for Kingsville and Bishop. This is the Superbowl. We've been planning this thing for about a year, and it's been going great," said Captain Chris Misner, commanding officer of NAS-Kingsville. "We've had weekly meetings, monthly, we're up to about daily and hourly right now, and it's been a really big effort on the parts of a lot of folks."
