The City-County Health Department says they have turned a corner when it comes to the number of flu cases reported. For the second week in a row, confirmed flu cases in Nueces County have dropped. Three weeks ago, there were 600 cases of flu reported. Two weeks ago, the number dropped to 430. Last week, just under 400 people were diagnosed. In response to county warnings and the need to receive a vaccine, roughly 200 people showed up for a free flu shot clinic at First United Methodist Church Saturday morning.
